NYSTIF 2024: Empowering Filipino Youth for a Future in STEM and Emerging Technologies

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is holding its second National Youth Science, Technology, and Innovation Festival (NYSTIF) from September 18 to 21, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City. Building on its inaugural event, this year’s theme, “STEM Vibe: Engaging the Youth in Providing Solutions and Opening Opportunities,” emphasizes increasing the involvement of Filipino youth in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers.

The event will feature a variety of hands-on activities, exhibits, and competitions aimed at raising awareness about cutting-edge technologies and scientific advancements. Topics like blockchain technology, data analytics, 3D printing, metrology, and textile technology will be spotlighted, encouraging students to explore and potentially pursue careers in these areas.

NYSTIF aims to bridge the gap between students and the STEM field, inspiring them to take an active role in science and technology innovation, ultimately contributing to the country’s growing tech industry.
